Sequential Colour LCD 

Displaytech is pleased to announce the availability of field sequential colour LCD's for customised applications. Based upon cost effective TN technology, the modules come complete with integrated COG controller IC and RGB backlight.

By synchronising active segments to colour generated by the backlight, a coloured display can be achieved without resorting to TFT technology. The fast fluids used in the display coupled with small cell gap create a high contrast display (>250:1) with wide viewing angles.

The displays are particularly ideal for consumer products and white goods applications where colour can be introduced to enhance the user interface, but at a cost that meets the needs of those particular markets. In addition, the MPU interface is much simplified when compared to TFT.

Due to the specific nature of such products, Displaytech will utilise its' extensive experience of customisation to create customer specific designs for all products.
